Xin Chen

Xin is a project lead with the Systems Engineering and Management group based in Toronto and has been working with IBI Group since 2012. His experience spans between the systems practice and the infrastructures practice at IBI Group. Xin’s systems experience includes both design and deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems, Advanced Traffic Management Systems, Advanced Traffic Information Systems, and toll systems. He has been involved at various stages in the systems project lifecycle, including concept of operations, stakeholder engagement, design & requirement tracing, QA/QC, documentation, and client training.
His traffic operations experience includes traffic analysis, micro-simulation, highway operations and incident management. Xin has extensive experience in large scale Private-Public-Partnerships, both from the owner’s and the bidder’s side. His P3 experience includes the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, as the lead technical manager during the design phase, and as the project manager during the construction phase services, for IBI Group’s design disciplines.
